Privacy Policy

Effective September 8, 2026

This policy explains how WDW Festival Planner (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the WDW Festival Planner iOS app, visit EpcotFP.com, or apply to join the beta program.

At a glance

  • We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
  • We do not track you across apps or websites.
  • Location is optional and is used on your device for the park map and route planning. It is not stored or sent to us.
  • You can turn off app analytics at any time in Settings → About → Share Analytics.

Information handled by the app

Location

If you grant “While Using the App” permission, the app uses your device location to show your position on the Epcot map and help create routes while you are in the park or nearby parking areas. Location is used temporarily on your device. We do not store it, add it to analytics, or receive it on our servers. You can change permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Your plans and preferences

Wishlists, notes, tasks, itineraries, item counts, and app settings are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, app content may sync through your private Apple CloudKit database so it can be restored or used on your other devices. Apple processes this data under its own privacy terms. Turning off iCloud for the app stops future iCloud syncing; deleting content in the app removes the corresponding synced records.

Optional usage analytics

When Share Analytics is enabled, the app sends limited usage events to PostHog, our analytics provider. These may include screens viewed, feature interactions, session duration, Wishlist size or similar counts, anonymous identifiers, and technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, and network address processed during delivery. Analytics do not include your name, email address, precise location, note text, task text, or other user-authored content. We use this information only to understand reliability and improve the app—not for advertising or cross-app tracking.

You can stop new analytics events immediately in Settings → About → Share Analytics.

Feedback

If you choose to send feedback, the app prepares an email containing the message and category you provide, plus the app version, build number, device platform, and operating-system version. You can review and edit the email before sending it. Your email provider processes the message, and your sender address is visible when it reaches us.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and payment information. The app receives only the product and entitlement information needed to unlock or restore purchased features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Information handled by the website

Website analytics

EpcotFP.com records limited first-party events: the event type, page path, referring website hostname, and timestamp. We use these events to understand site visits and beta interest. We do not intentionally store your IP address in our analytics database, although our hosting and security providers may temporarily process standard request information to deliver and protect the site.

Beta applications

If you apply to beta test, we collect the first name, last name, email address, phone platform, operating-system version, approximate number of Epcot and festival visits, testing-interest level, and any optional notes you provide. We use this information to review applicants, organize the beta program, contact selected testers, and administer future testing opportunities covered by your consent. Applications are available only through an authorized administrative area and are not publicly displayed.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers needed to operate the app and website, such as Apple for iCloud and purchases, PostHog for optional app analytics, our website hosting and database provider, and email providers for messages you send. They process information on our behalf or under their own terms for the service you choose to use. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or permit third parties to use it for their own marketing.

Retention and deletion

On-device and iCloud-synced app content remains until you delete it, remove the app’s data, or change the applicable iCloud settings. Beta applications, support messages, and website analytics are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the beta, respond to requests, improve the product, maintain security, and satisfy legal obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.

You may request access to or deletion of personal information we control by emailing EpcotFP@icloud.com. Please write from the email address used for your beta application or feedback so we can verify and locate the request. We may retain limited information when legally required or necessary to protect the service.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Beta applicants must be at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app and its services evolve. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
